Welcome to Age of Imperialists!
Age of Imperialists is a Grand Tier that was birthed in the flames of a Super Tier known as Age of Imperialism. The Group eventually broke down over a conflict due to Rolls vs. TW in terms of how a battle should be settled. While TW won out, three inactive groups withdrew from the Super Tier, leaving us with a husk of a Super Tier. Since we already owned close to half of the groups, we merely decided to continue on with the groups that were active already and take our time with things. We got control over old groups and have been tapping player's shoulders to populate the groups one at a time. Once we get past 20-25 actives in a group, we go to activate the next one.
We're out to build a community of Roleplayers where they can feel safe and not abused by the railroading and powergaming communities that have gained control of close to 80 to even 90 percent of all the major groups of the present. As time went, they continued to grab these groups up, and activate them for the sake of their own personal enjoyment. When players acted against them, they used their power to "Put them in their Place". Over time, this practice became rather popular as admins forgot their own "Place" and believed that Roleplay was meant to give them pure pleasure and to fulfill their fantasies. Few admins remember that the Role of an Administrator is to oversee and ensure the enjoyment of their players and staff, and draw enjoyment out of the happiness of others. Being an Admin is a difficult and absolute task that requires dedication and willingness to calmly maintain the stability of all that they watch over.
The War itself was handled by groups in the Super Tier Age of Imperialism, the Super Tier that was managed by another individual who brought multiple groups together to try and Roleplay. After the other groups withdrew, as it was likely to happen sooner or later, we decided to keep our progress and move forward.
In the Seven Years war, French Canada was yielded to the Kingdom of Great Britain. Losing several small battles, France signed peace after a mere two years of war in 1752. Austria and Prussia fought several small battles and Russia was also involved to a minor sense. The conflict itself was rather short lived as neither side of the conflict wished to risk total defeat.
In 1753, the Irish Protector Council, in response to a rise in tensions between the Protestant and Catholic presences established themselves as the De-jure leaders of Ireland, while the British appointees were helpless to force their will upon Ireland. In 1754, King Harrison dismissed the previous Grand Duke of Ireland in favor of the Leader of the Irish Protector Council, an Irish Catholic and Patriot named James Fowler Ó Móráin who had lead the Free Irish party-a paramilitary group operating against British authority- along with Patrick O'Limerec who oversaw deals of weapon import from France. Tensions had died down by 1755 and the Irish enjoyed modest representation due to King Harrison's work in bridging the gap between the three peoples of the two Great Islands. Sadly, tragedy struck as King Harrison would fall ill, and pass away in his bed by the end of 1755. Without an heir, the nation fell into a period of turmoil until the long thought dead Oliver of the Cromwell dynasty came back into public eye. Pleading madness and recovery, Parliament recognized his legitimacy for the throne, once more leading King Oliver to sit upon the throne of the Isles.
In the East, the Second War of the Coalition against a united Cossack Host under the command of the 'Emperor of Poland' has broken out once more. The First War of the Coalition was waged after the King of Poland Annexed Saxony due to royal claim. After trying to surrender in the face of the might of Prussia, Russia, and Austria, the Cossacks burst into Warsaw and staged a Coup d'etat which saw the dissolution of the Elective Monarchy. Forcing the Nobles to heel in the face complete destruction, the Cossacks under the Grand command of Royal Hetman Boralius fought a bloody and drawn out clash against the four powers.
The losses were staggering, with nearly 570,000 men dying from the four powers. Russia's Tsar withdrew from the conflict after a devastating battle in which Boralius cut the army from supplies, and annihilated nearly 100,000 soldiers of the Russian army, taking 30,000 captive and breaking through Kiev. The Ruthenian Cossacks soon ceded from Russia due to the pressure of the wealthy and influential Boralius who had been showered with gifts after his victories.
Using the captured artillery from each of his battles Boralius laid waste to Konigsberg after a month long siege wherein almost 76,000 men gave their lives from both sides. With the offer of White Peace put upon the table to the Prussians, with no demands for the return of their De-facto Capital city, the Prussians withdrew from the conflict.
In the Carpathian Mountains, where Boralius spent much of the Coalition war, the Austrian's war machine clashed with a series of rushed-together forts constructed by Boralius. For almost 14 months, the Austrians continued their attempt to break through the mountains into Poland Proper, even yielding the Lowlands to gather French Intervention. But after the Polish host broke through into the Hungarian steppes, the Austrians sued for peace before the French even arrived.
A year later when France refused to yield the Lowlands for not honoring the agreement, the Austrians invaded Venice to stifle the civil unrest and loss of prestige. When Venice and the then Commonwealth Empire signed an alliance, Prussia and Russia once more intervened on the side of Austria, and the Second War of the Coalition began in 1756.
